With Travis having this week off of work and the weather being almost too hot we decided it was a great time to tackle the zoo again!! We headed off in a different direction thinking we could see more animals! Well, we saw a few more animals but we also walked a bunch and got so sweaty!!! Cayden did better at staying with us as a group. We also tried a wagon instead of the stroller thinking the girls might enjoy the ride. Didn't work out as well as we hoped but it was still fun!
Most of these pictures are from the water hole where they have almost life size statues of some the African animals. The older kids LOVED them but Gwen in particular was quite freaked out. She was content to sit in mom's arms. If I got too close to the statues she would start to scream and cry! (much like she does with the Chic-fil-a cows!)
Ashlynn wasn't as scared by them but she didn't really like them either!
Travis was trying to get Ashlynn to touch the elephant and she didn't want to at all!!! She was ok with the smaller statues though!
A little further along they had a few more statues they could climb on and play on so here are a few more pictures!

Amazing but we fit all 5 kids in the giant clam shell!! I'm just glad no one got too mad! :)
The back pack leash was great for Gwen and she loved holding hands and walking but Ashlynn was so tired of it about halfway in she would throw herself down on the ground if you wanted her to go a different way than she wanted!
All in all it was a fun but exhausting trip to the zoo! We were hot and sweaty and I am thinking we should have brought our swim suits and stopped by the splash pad to cool off a couple of times! Maybe next time! I also know I will not be taking the twins by myself until they start listening better. It was stressful and Travis was always with one of the girls so by myself would be crazy! I am so glad he was able to take the time off and come play with us!!!
