Each conference time during the priesthood session on Saturday the sisters in our ward usually get together at the park with a picnic and let the kids play while the moms chat. This year though the HOA decided to have their block party so that's where we were headed!
Here's the three pigtail cuties before we left for the party!
Travis dropped us off at the park on his way to the Priesthood session and we just had a blast! They had a DJ who had a bubble machine! (I think I might need to invest in one of those!) They also had a bounce house with a slide, free food and lots of games and treats for the kids!
Ashlynn LOVED the bubbles! She would chase them all over the park! It was so fun!
Gwen did join her eventually!
Ashlynn also LOVED the bouncy house! She would climb in and then go straight to the slide. It is her favorite thing to play on! Gwen tried it at first but got bumped by someone once and wouldn't go back in!
They had an Egg hunt for the kids which I missed the announcement for so only Ethan and Cayden participated but there were a couple older kids who just wanted the candy so they gave all their empty eggs to us. Gwen had a great time just sitting in the wagon playing with all the eggs!
The also had a raffle for anyone who helped with the neighborhood clean up that morning. The scouts were supposed to go so Travis took the boys and cleaned up! And lucky enough Ethan won a kids camp chair and Travis won a xbox 360 game! It was a fun night and even though I spent most of it trying to keep up with Ashlynn and Gwen I was not nearly as stressed as I imagined it would be! Thanks also to a few ladies who kept an eye on my girls while I was chasing one or the other!
Travis wasn't done with his meeting by the time we were heading home so we hoofed it with the wagon! The girls are getting much more used to the wagon and sitting in it while it's moving. Ashlynn tries to stand up as often as she can but she's getting better!
There was a beautiful sunset as we walked home too!
It was definitely a success because while I was giving the girls their bath this is what happened to Cayden!
He crashed on the kitchen chairs. He didn't even make it to the couch!
